Players To Trade For In Dynasty Fantasy Football: Buy Roman Wilson

We've got three weeks of data to use to highlight who the best players to trade for in dynasty fantasy football are, and these are the ones I have my eyes on.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Targets

Keaton Mitchell, RB - Chargers

I have to admit something.

There are times when I can be totally sold on a player who flashes high-level efficiency on a sample size that is just far too small.

That's my much-needed context for including leading off with Keaton Mitchell.

Those who know will remember his rookie season when he tallied 47 rushing attempts for 396 rushing yards and a pair of scores in eight games. That resulted in a final mark of 8.4 yards per carry. See what I mean about small sample size?

A slew of injuries decimated his subsequent seasons with the Ravens before Mitchell landed with the Chargers this offseason. Now the RB2 behind Omarion Hampton, Mitchell has slowly ramped up his usage, which peaked in Week 3 when he turned eight rushing attempts into 52 yards. He also scored through the air.

Zooming out, the Chargers have not been good so far, and Hampton has struggled. The incumbent RB has finished below 4.0 yards per carry in two of three games. There's clearly a need for someone to give this offense a spark. That's why Mitchell, who is still only 24 years old, remains one of my favorite dynasty trade targets at the end of September.

Roman Wilson, WR - Steelers

It's been a turbulent start for Roman Wilson across his 2+ years in the league. A lost rookie season gave way to a sophomore campaign that saw him tally just 12 receptions for 166 yards and two TDs in 13 games.

Now three games into Year 3, Wilson already has 11 receptions for 114 yards and a score. Again, small sample size (I can't help it), but things are certainly trending in the right direction.

I recently wrote about why DK Metcalf was trending down in dynasty fantasy football formats. His age, coupled with what will likely be the final season for Aaron Rodgers, leads me to believe his value isn't going to go up anymore. However, Wilson is young enough to withstand the transition to a new QB and/or offensive scheme in the coming years.

Focusing back on this season, Wilson has seen exactly six targets in each of his three games so far. That steady involvement should only continue to afford him additional scoring opportunities throughout the rest of the season.

The Steelers offense is going to be a unique one to follow next offseason. As mentioned, an impending change at QB will certainly shake up the identity of this team, and Wilson is well-suited to remain a key contributor for many seasons to come.

Wan'Dale Robinson, WR - Titans

Cheap production is still production, regardless of where it comes from or how much it costs. That's how I've felt about Wan'Dale Robinson for several years now, especially in PPR formats.

Still only 25 years old, Robinson has just nine total TDs in his four-year career but is coming off of consecutive seasons in which he saw 140 targets and hauled in 90+ receptions. He doesn't often find the end zone, but he can certainly rack up the points in PPR leagues.

Now with the Titans after spending four years with the Giants, Robinson will work alongside first-round picks Cam Ward and Carnell Tate as Tennessee looks to get back on track. Tate certainly has the pedigree, profile, and draft stock to warrant a much higher value in dynasty formats, but that doesn't mean Robinson still won't be involved.

Through three weeks, Robinson and Tate are almost equal in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. In fact, Robinson has a TD already (Tate doesn't).

The Titans are 0-3 and figure to remain one of the weaker teams across the board this season. Robinson should continue to grow with this offense alongside Ward and Tate and provide benefits to dynasty fantasy football managers for many years.

Pat Bryant, WR - Broncos

I've been admittedly high on Pat Bryant since he was drafted, and he hasn't done a ton to convince the majority of dynasty fantasy football managers that he's worthy of your attention. That said, I'll continue to beat the drum for Bryant as often as I can.

This offense can be tricky to parse. On one hand, Jaylen Waddle was brought over to be a true No. 1 option for Bo Nix. Courtland Sutton, despite being on the back half of his career, still offers some big-play ability.

At the intersection of offensive role, production, age, and future projection sits Bryant. I've written several times over the years about finding dynasty value in WR2 options for good offenses.

Moving forward into the latter half of this season and beyond, that's how I view Bryant. With Waddle as the No. 1, Bryant offers solid value as a potential No. 2.

With the rotation of injuries at the RB position, I hope this offense starts to run more through Nix and less on the ground. While an effective run game can open up the passing game, Nix is talented enough and has talented enough pass catchers to feed dynasty managers for the rest of this season and beyond.
