Fantasy Football Stock Watch Before Week 1 Of The NFL Season

Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray 

The value surrounding the Cardinals' key players have stabilized as Arizona prepares to face the New Orleans Saints in Week 1. QB Kyler Murray’s ADP fell 8.4 spots in CBS leagues, realigning his ADP closer to his consensus (92). Murray checks in as QB9 with two high-upside weapons, Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr. 

  Atlanta Falcons: Michael Penix Jr. 📉

A strong finish to 2024 had Atlanta’s new QB1 in the sleeper conversation for most of the summer. However, confidence has waned now that his blindside protector could miss significant time. RT Kaleb McGary’s leg injury is a massive blow to a top-10 unit, and a QB that relies heavily on stretching defenses vertically. 

Baltimore Ravens: Isaiah Likely 📉

An injured foot has put any thoughts on a breakout season for the Ravens’ tight end on hold. Veteran Mark Andrews looks to hold down the TE1 role to start the season. Without any encouraging news for Week 1, fantasy managers are playing it cautious. 

Isaiah Likely has dipped across the board with his current ADP dropping to 171.3 on Underdog. 

Buffalo Bills: Keon Coleman 😏

One of our favorite sleepers over at Fantasy Life, Keon Coleman has a huge opportunity in only his second season. Our projections have him at 87 targets in a Bills offense that led the NFL in points per play (0.512). Plus, he gets the  benefit of elite quarterback play. 

Coleman’s come up on draft boards has flattened out. His consensus ADP is slightly up to 115.3. Connecting the dots, it’s partially due to Khalil Shakir’s expected return for Week 1. 

I wouldn’t let that move you off Coleman’s value. He has the combination of size and playmaking ability to become Josh Allen’s go-to guy in the red zone.  

Carolina Panthers: Tetairoa McMillan 

The ADP waters are relatively calm in Carolina. Tetairoa McMillan got a small bump (+3.9) in Yahoo leagues. The Panthers remain one of the league's most intriguing offenses under Dave Canales. McMillan’s bump had an adverse effect on his Panther peers, Xavier Legette (-2.1  on Underdog). Jalen Coker is in deep flier territory with a consensus ADP of 228. 

Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams 📈

Yes, Rome Odunze hauled in 3 of 5 targets, including a 37-yard reception. But this is the Chicago Bears! It has to be all about the quarterback. 

Ben Johnson’s shiny new project looked even sharper against the Chiefs, furthering optimism for Williams' breakout potential. Williams completed 11 of 15 passes for 113 yards, and 1 TD. 

 Williams' consensus ADP continues to escalate (115.1), while he is going as high as 110.1 in Yahoo leagues. 

Cincinnati Bengals: Mike Gesicki 📉

Mike Gesicki recently dropped 16 spots on Sleeper, while his consensus ADP slots him as TE27.

The main concern with drafting Gesicki will always be red zone target share. The seven-year veteran’s 83 targets produced only two touchdowns in 2024. Not much is likely to change with Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown still around. 

When your friends ask how many Bengals are on your fantasy team, they aren’t asking about the tight end. 

Cleveland Browns: Quinshon Judkins 🫨

Do these things happen anywhere else but Cleveland? Quinshon Judkins, the heir apparent to the Browns’ backfield, still has not signed. Similar to his contract negotiations, Judkins’ ADP is at a stalemate, hovering just inside the top 100. He remains a huge risk until he agrees to terms. Once he signs, the real fun begins. You get to weigh the potential for injury with a rookie running back who missed all of training camp. 

The Judkins fiasco hasn’t positively impacted the ADP of either Jerome Ford or Dylan Sampson. On the bright side, there are 31 other backfields you can target. 

Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott 📈

Dak Prescott is a gamble that many fantasy managers are happy to take at his consensus ADP (102 overall). Can the Cowboys QB replicate the magic of two seasons ago that saw him eclipse 4,500 passing yards and throw 36 touchdowns? Nobody can argue that all the pieces are in place, from the addition of George Pickens to a depleted Dallas defense. 

The closer we get to the start of the season, the more Prescott inches up the rankings. He is currently QB10 in CBS leagues. 

Denver Broncos: Evan Engram & Marvin Mims 📈

Denver’s trade of Devaughn Vele to New Orleans had Dynasty managers dialed into the downstream impact on Pat Bryant and Troy Franklin. The two young wideouts can certainly become long-term beneficiaries, but for now the debate over target share is between TE Evan Engram and Marvin Mims Jr. 

Both players received a nice bump. Engram is the more consistent option at 91.8 (consensus), while Mims Jr. (141.6) provides value for those looking for a deeper flier.   

Detroit Lions: Isaac TeSlaa 🚀

In Detroit’s final preseason game, Isaac TeSlaa seized the opportunity to put a stamp on an impressive camp. TeSlaa turned two targets into two receptions, 41 yards, and a touchdown. Head coach Dan Campbell views TeSlaa as an early contributor in an offense that led the NFL in points per game last season. TeSlaa has jumped +6.4 to 195.9 on Underdog, signaling his stock could continue to rise. 

Green Bay Packers: Matthew Golden 📈

Matthew Golden appears to have fought off Jayden Reed—who's dealing with a leg injury—to pull ahead as the prize of the Packers’ receiver room. Matt LaFleur sounds optimistic toward Reed’s chances of playing Week 1. However, it makes sense for drafters to weigh Golden’s strong camp over Reed’s uncertain return. It’s evident Golden is now locked into an immediate role in Green Bay’s offense. He is going as high as 68.9 on Underdog (25 spots higher than his consensus ADP). 

Houston Texans: Joe Mixon 📉

Welp, we have been asking for Joe Mixon news, and now we got it. The Texans running back plummeted to 100 overall on ESPN before we learned his ankle would force him to miss the first four games. His stint on the Reserve/Non-Football injury list makes him undraftable in Guillotine Leagues ™. 

Former Brown Nick Chubb is the Texans' new RB1 to start the season. 

Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren 🧨

It’s a two-man show in Indy with Jonathan Taylor pounding the rock and Tyler Warren hauling in dimes from Daniel Jones. The 14th overall pick is poised to become the primary target among Colts’ pass catchers. 

Indy’s offense moves away from Anthony Richardson’s ridiculous 12.19 aDOT to Jones, who’s 7.66 aDOT ranked 28th among quarterbacks with at least 100 plays. 

Warren’s ADP is +5.1 on Underdog and inside the Top 100 overall (97.7). 

Jacksonville Jaguars: Travis Hunter 

In the biggest weekend for fantasy drafts, it’s a bit surprising to see WR/CB Travis Hunter slipping across all major platforms. The Heisman Trophy winner was held out of the Jaguars' final preseason game to rest an upper-body injury. Although it sounds strictly for precautionary reasons, Hunter’s ADP took a small hit over the weekend. 

Kansas City Chiefs: Isiah Pacheco 📈

It’s been business as usual this preseason for the three-time defending AFC Champions. Head coach Andy Reid got the starters some reps against the Bears, and Pacheco’s productive day (3 rushes for 21 yards) had a positive impact on his ADP. The Chiefs' running back is up 5.2 spots in ESPN leagues. 

Las Vegas Raiders: Jack Bech 📉

The Raiders' WR2 job was right there for the taking, but the second-round pick could never separate himself from the crowd. In Las Vegas’ 20-10 loss to the Cardinals, Jack Bech secured only 1 grab for 9 yards. 

The more-than-likely scenario is that Bech’s blah preseason lands him behind Jakobi Meyers, Dont’e Thornton Jr. and Tre Tucker on the depth chart. That’s not great considering the offense runs through TE Brock Bowers. Bech is down 20 spots on Sleeper, and his most recent descent on Underdog (-5) puts him at 208 overall. 

Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford 😵‍💫

Good luck trying to crack the code on the most volatile QB in the space right now. Despite the growing optimism that Matthew Stafford will be ready to start the season, there are still growing questions about his durability for 2025. Stafford dropped 12.4 spots on CBS. His ADP is as high as 126.4 on Yahoo, but I’d expect that to quickly fall in line with his consensus ADP (173.8). 

Los Angeles Chargers: Quentin Johnston 🤕

The challenges are piling up for the Chargers' third-year receiver. Quentin Johnston’s fantasy draft stock took a major hit when LA pivoted to reunite with Keenan Allen. The bad luck continued for Johnston, who unfortunately suffered a scary concussion in the following preseason game. QJ’s value has continued to slide while he is progressing through protocol. His biggest drop was on Sleeper (23 spots; 231 overall). Let’s hope QJ gets back on the field soon. 

Miami Dolphins: Ollie Gordon 🧨

Is Ollie Gordon the solution to Miami’s short-yardage woes? Or is he just an excellent handcuff to De'Von Achane? I’m whispering yes on both accounts, only because I selfishly want a full stop on his ADP. He is currently RB61 based on his consensus, going in drafts after the likes of Dylan Sampson, Roschon Johnson, and Blake Corum. 

Gordon bowled his way to 43 more yards against Jacksonville, capping off a preseason showcase as the Dolphins’ most consistent runner. With Achane battling a calf injury, the door is wide open for this Dolphin to make an early-season splash. 

Give me all the Ollie Gordon I can get. 

Minnesota Vikings: Jordan Mason 🚀 

When Ian Hartitz and Thor Nystrom are talking Jordan Mason, I’m listening. Hartitz recently tabbed the Minnesota running back as one of three players he can’t stop drafting. 

Hartitz may have been one of the first on the Mason train, but he is far from alone. Mason moved 7.5 spots in CBS leagues, cracking the Top 100 overall in Yahoo as well. 

New England Patriots: TreVeyon Henderson 🚀 

Is there a ceiling to TreVeyon Henderson’s ascension? He doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. The Pats' dynamic rookie RB sat out the preseason finale, and is still climbing across the board. With a consensus ADP of 50.6, Henderson seems poised to crack into the 40s on several sites—his current ADP is 44.1 on Underdog.    

New Orleans: Rashid Shaheed 📈

So, New Orleans is not really a hotbed of fantasy relevancy in 2025. The quarterback situation is by far the worst in the NFL, and it’s anybody’s guess whether the Saints will pack it in prior to the fantasy playoffs. 

If you’re looking for late-round value, look in the direction of Rashid Shaheed. I touched on the speedy playmaker in last week’s stock report. 

Shaheed is still on the move after a modest 2 receptions in the preseason finale. Since last week, his consensus ADP jumped from the 140-range to 131. 

New York Giants: Jaxson Dart 

It’s not easy to stick out when you share a QB room with Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito, but Jaxson Dart has managed to become the talk of the Big Apple. 

Giants fans aren’t the only ones glazing over Dart. His recent surge (+16.7) has him going off the board before current QB1 Russell Wilson on ESPN & Sleeper.  

New York Jets: Braelon Allen 🧨 

Braelon Allen is still the guy dripping with value on the Jets’ roster. Allen’s strong camp will force new offensive coordinator Tanner Egstrand to manufacture touches for the second-year standout. New York’s worst-kept secret shot up 18 spots in CBS leagues, while his strong camp propelled his current ADP to 110 at Yahoo! 

Philadelphia Eagles: Will Shipley

Shipley appears to be primed for an expanded, but also limited, role in the Eagles' offense. Outside of being one of the most valuable handcuffs, his ability as a receiver out of the backfield should earn him looks in the red zone, as well as obvious passing situations. 

Shipley’s popularity has pushed his ADP as high as 169 in ESPN leagues. 

Pittsburgh Steelers: Kaleb Johnson

The story in Pittsburgh continues to be the battle for the RB1 job. Kaleb Johnson should be sitting comfortably in the driver's seat after Jaylen Warren’s abysmal preseason debut. Warren fumbled on his second touch, and couldn’t find his footing on more than one occasion. 

However, fantasy managers aren’t all in on crowning Johnson just yet. In ESPN leagues, Pittsburgh’s rookie RB dropped 10 spots to 105.4 overall, where he was leapfrogged by Warren (99.7). Johnson is still going first on all other platforms. 

San Francisco 49ers: Brian Robinson Jr. 📉

The former Commanders RB1 was run out of Washington by the Jacory Croskey-Merritt hype train. Now reduced to Christian McCaffrey’s handcuff, Robinson’s ADP went cliff-diving across all major platforms. ESPN saw the biggest plunge, good for 80 spots (141 overall). 

Seattle Seahawks: Kenneth Walker III 📈

Seattle remains one of my most intriguing teams. I love the young talent they added at the skill positions. There hasn’t been much movement now that the depth chart has settled. However, it’s becoming clear how important Kenneth Walker III will be in Klint Kubiak’s offense. Walker has some real upside potential at RB16 (ESPN; Yahoo!). 

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jalen McMillan 🤕

Jalen McMillan is out with a neck injury that is expected to sideline him for the first few weeks, possibly to Week 9, according to some reports. Expect more targets for Mike Evans and Emeka Egbuka, while Sterling Shepard fills in as WR3. McMillan fell 26 spots in Sleeper leagues, moving his consensus ADP to 190.9. 

Tennessee Titans: Calvin Ridley 📈

Cam Ward’s impressive camp has built confidence in the fantasy potential of the Titans' passing game. TE Chig Okonkwo has started to tick up draft boards (+2.2; Underdog), and Calvin Ridley will certainly reap the benefits more than anyone.

The Titans' cast of quarterbacks from a season ago certainly left some meat on the bone in regards to Ridley’s 120 targets. Ward’s playmaking ability has to help Ridley improve on last year’s 1,000-yard season. 

Ridley’s consensus ADP is 68.3, sandwiched in between Tet McMillan and Travis Hunter. 

Washington Commanders: Jacory-Croskey Merritt 🚀

I tried to warn you last week when Jacory Croskey-Merritt was preparing for liftoff from the 185 overall range. A lot has changed since then. Brian Robinson now plays in the Bay, and Bill has soared 30+ spots on almost every fantasy site. His consensus ADP (132.8) has him slotted as RB44. That still feels like value.
