In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Pop-Tarts:
NFL legal tampering officially gets started at noon ET on Monday, and we’ve already got a TON of rumors circulating about some of the biggest names available on the open market.
Lucky for us, the people’s insider “Rickey” has returned to Twitter/X to grace football fans with some potential insider info.
Yes, Rickey is an unverified dog-avatar account that has been wrong before. Also, yes, unlike the vast majority of NFL “insiders,” Rickey attempts to report news well before pen is officially put to paper. It’s a refreshing change of pace from the usual NFL news world full of aggregation and reporters waiting to get the OK from agents before saying pretty much anything of substance.
The following fantasy-relevant nuggets should thus be taken with a grain of salt, but dammit we got some juicy stuff potentially going down!
K9 to the Chiefs wouldn’t have seemed possible a few days ago, but the Chiefs’ decisions to restructure Patrick Mahomes’ contract, trade CB Trent McDuffie and release OT Jawaan Taylor as well as DE Mike Danna, have opened up a lot of cap space.
Bringing in Walker would fill a major need with pint-sized second-year RB Brashard Smith being the team’s only RB under contract at the moment. There’s also the reality that Chiefs RBs were pretty damn rough last season as a group.
Chiefs running backs in 2025:
Walker is currently priced as the RB14 in early Underdog best ball drafts. Landing with Mahomes and company could instantly vault him into the top-10 conversation alongside guys like Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton … while going to the Giants and potentially entering another committee could lead to lower-end RB2 treatment.
Either way: Buckle your seat belts, the NFL offseason is alive, baby—just look at what happened last night! THIS LEAGUE.

Protein. You love it. You want it. And if you are chasing those gains, you’re definitely going to need it, pal. So, we looked at Pop-Tarts and thought, what if we added a pop of protein? The result: delicious frosted, gooey pastries with 10g of protein per serving that helps fuel you and taste ridiculously good. Train harder. Snack smarter. Pop off.
Unfortunately, there are no upcoming Underwear Olympics to fire Pete Overzet up this weekend. Instead, let’s catch up on some other news …

Big boards, mock drafts, team needs and everything you need to prepare for the 2026 NFL Draft, all for free. So, who does your favorite team need to draft?

From a devastating injury as a freshman to RB2 in the 2026 NFL Draft? That just might be Jadarian Price, as told in this profile by Ian Hartitz.

We’re going to be talking about Bijan Robinson or Jahmyr Gibbs at the 1.01 a lot over these next several months. Kendall Valenzuela takes it to 50 in her latest rankings feature.

Hide your kids, hide your wife, push those real-life responsibilities back another week: NFL free agency is HERE, baby!
Today, we'll celebrate the upcoming mid-March holiday by breaking down the top wide receivers set to hit the open market.
Pierce's field-stretching speed is a superpower that literally every offense in the NFL would love to have. This man constantly creates separation downfield and is good enough at the catch point to turn 50/50 situations into 70/30 propositions in his favor.
While Pierce would help elevate pretty much any NFL offense, two AFC East squads seem particularly enticing matches.
Congrats to Pierce on becoming a very rich man very soon.

We couldn’t help thinking of our Dynasty rosters while draft prospects were flying all over Lucas Oil Field at the NFL Scouting Combine. Jake Trowbridge started dreaming on drafting several players, including a certain tight end from Oregon:
Kenyon Sadiq, TE: As I said, I’m more than happy to take a risk on Sadiq, who just beat Vernon Davis’ longstanding record to become the fastest tight end in the history of the 40-yard dash. In fact, he’s got a slight edge over Jordyn Tyson for me due to positional scarcity. The words “faster Kyle Pitts with legitimate blocking ability” rattle around in my brain, and then I can’t stand up for a few minutes.
It’s never too early to start thinking of Dynasty Rookie Drafts, so see what other players could be rising up draft boards in the weeks ahead.
The latest fantasy and NFL gossip, news, memes and more from our merry band of football nerds …
🦅 Is the Eagles WR1 on his way out? Potential suitors …
🐬 The Dolphins need some help for Jaylen Waddle. A new QB is just a start.
📝 The Raiders’ preference is to add a veteran QB and not start expected No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza immediately.
🤷♂️ Sounds like something Geno Smith would be good for … but they plan on releasing him. Cool, cool, cool.
✈️ The Jets apparently want to sign two veteran QBs this offseason. Their preferred option is WHO?
🔥 More smoke to the fire about Kyler Murray’s next employer. This is probably the best-case scenario for his fantasy upside.
💻 Are fantasy drafts with no laptops outdated, or the best thing ever? Pen and paper for the win.
🤣 These are some provocative one-liners. “310-pound dancing bear who wrecks pockets on schedule.”
