Who Are The Week 4 Targets And Avoids In Fantasy Football?

In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Xfinity.

Love triangles are hot, but hate triangles are even hotter.

And this week, because Matthew Berry loves the players I love and hates the players I hate … I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious.

Players from Berry’s Love/Hate List from Week 4 that fill out our Love/Hate triangles.

Love Triangle:

Tyler Shough | QB | NO

What’s not to love about Tyler Shough? Three top-8 QB finishes through the first three weeks of the season?! And in Week 4, New Orleans gets to play a division rival at home IN THE DOME?!

Fun fact: I sat right behind Shough’s parents at the LV/NO game last weekend, high-fiving them during each of those electric Juwan Johnson TDs.

They love Shough.

Berry loves Shough.

And you know I love Shough.

Join us, will you?

Hate Triangle:

Emeka Egbuka | WR | TB

The “backup QB ride” was fun while it lasted. But we can’t keep expecting these backups to elevate their offenses.

Thank you, Case Keenum for getting a TD into Colston Loveland’s hands in Week 3(called back, but I’ll never forget it). Thank you Marcus Mariota for throwing three TDs.

But Jalon Daniels… You have bigger fish to fry against Green Bay in your first career start.

Love Triangle:

Darren Waller | TE | CAR

This is all about the Lions, baby.

As Berry points out, Detroit has allowed the most of everything to tight ends this season:

  • Receptions
  • Yards
  • Fantasy points

When we talk about “juicy matchups,” this is textbook juicy.

Hate Triangle:

Justin Herbert | QB | LAC

All I have to say can be simply summed up with this:

How About Some Peace Of Mind?

There’s a peace of mind that comes with knowing you have certain players on your fantasy roster. That Joe Burrow-Ja’Marr Chase stack is just so sweet. See Bijan Robinson in that RB1 slot, you can just write him down for 100+ scrimmage yards and a couple TDs. And Trey McBride, just chalk him up for 10+ targets and elite WR numbers out of the TE slot.

Peace of mind is also important when it comes to your home, family and connected life. Introducing Xfinity Shield, a defensive line for your home and devices. Users can opt-in to built-in WiFi protection features such as:

Matthew Berry’s 10 Facts For Week 4

One of the worst reactions in a fantasy league group chat is when they go full Labowski on your ass: “Yeah, well. You know. That’s just like, your opinion, man.”

It’s why I love reading Matthew Berry’s 10 Facts article each week.

Because in Week 3, when everyone was dogging me for blowing a ton of FAAB on Tyler Shough, I just pointed them to Berry’s facts. (New fact: Shough finished as QB6 last week in my lineup.)

Now, Berry has 10 more facts that you need for Week 4.

  • Kyle Pitts: Better days ahead?
  • Ollie Gordon: A psyop in Week 4?
  • Drake Maye: Under pressure?

And it’s not just like, his opinion, man … ⤵️

Week 4 Matchup Advantages: Kyler Murray Going Big

We know it hasn’t looked as pretty as we wanted it through three weeks of Kyler Murray with the Vikings. But Zain Dhanani is reminding us that things are different this week. The Vikings are home in Minnesota, and Miami’s defense is in the house. We can see plenty of fantasy points flowing on Sunday. Now can someone heal Justin Jefferson’s ankle? ⤵️
