Working backwards from the top 25 WRs in this year's model, we're kicking things off with Josh Cameron, the wide receiver from Baylor.
Cameron was a zero-star recruit in 2021 who remained at Baylor all five seasons. He didn't notch meaningful production until his fourth and fifth seasons with 1.82 and 1.70 RYPTPA marks. He is best known for his TD-scoring prowess; he collected 19 over his final two seasons.
He also added value as a returner, finishing with 630 punt return yards (17.0-yard average) and 638 kick return yards (17.2-yard average).
Lance Zierlein of NFL.com has a 6.14 grade (51st percentile) on Cameron. He has concerns about his ability to beat press coverage, but praised Cameron's red-zone ability and hands.
Cameron's closest Super Model comps:
Bottom line: Cameron was a late bloomer, and his production never reached the high-end ranges we want from a prospect like that. He is your classic strong-ball skills but separation-concerns prospect. He could add value in the red zone on the right team. The Rookie Super Model sees Cameron as a late Day 3 NFL Draft selection. He is a WR6 in fantasy football.
