Ian Hartitz breaks down the fantasy football fallout of Wan'Dale Robinson taking his pint-sized talents to Music City.

One of the first small (pun intended) dominoes of free agency has officially fallen: Former Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson has signed a four-year, $70-million deal with the Tennessee Titans. The move reunites Robinson with former Giants head coach Brian Daboll and locks him in as Cam Ward's slot receiver of the present and future.
The glass-half-full case for Robinson comes down to his ability to earn targets at a high level. Bad players don't get 140 targets in back-to-back seasons, and the slot maven deserves credit for making meaningful improvements in yards per reception (7.5 vs. 11) and yards per target (5 vs. 7.2) from 2024 to 2025.
The film from 2025 was also better in a meaningful way, as Wan'Dale actually managed to make some big plays downfield after almost exclusively being deployed around the line of scrimmage in 2024. This is a good wide receiver right here!
That said, elite pass catchers rarely hit the open market, and the track record of big-money free agent signings at the position is pretty rough overall. Sure, veterans like Stefon Diggs and Davante Adams managed to put up some solid numbers with their new employers in 2025, but the overall list of wide receivers who changed teams in free agency is no bueno.
Maybe Robinson manages to buck this trend—being just 25 years young is a good start—although we've never exactly seen him make a habit of efficiently picking up yards. Earning targets is a great skill in and of itself, although that was certainly impacted by 1.) Minimal overall target competition in New York, and 2.) Malik Nabers missed most of 2025 due to injury.
Robinson has done some quality things at the professional level and deserves to be a starter, although his yearly ranks in yards per route run paint the picture of a good, not great, receiver.

Ultimately, Robinson is a rock-solid starting slot who improves anyone's idea of a pretty bad supporting cast. That's good news for both Titans fans and Cam Ward believers, even if the sticker price involved is a bit of a shock for someone who won't be confused as a game-changing talent at the position anytime soon.
Some final fantasy takeaways on the matter (you can check out our fantasy football rankings in the rankings hub for updated ranks all offseason!):
Congrats to Robinson on becoming a very rich man, and best of luck to the Titans offense in 2026 and beyond!
